How Do You Define Desperation And How Can It Affect Your Business?

This is just one way to look at desperation and define it in the clearest way possible for all of us to understand and relate to it. Why is there so much “desperation” in the world and how can we turn away from it and look towards INSPIRATION instead?

Being desperate in your life and business is in itself a negative reaction to what is around you. Of course we are ALL looking to progress, make money and have a better life for our family and ourselves too. We all WANT that financial freedom.

Being Desperate Actually Sucks By Definition

Have you observed how many people are “chasing” money? You only have to look on Facebook or other social media to see the countless people who have started a business and literally filling up their profile with “join this” or “join that” because it’s the new “wonder solution” to getting rich. Taking action is great, but is this kind of action actually SERVING you?

There is no connection made with the people you are “begging” to join you, but more a desperate “please click so I can make some money” and “if you’re lucky I will help you because I can”. Often the “desperation marketer” gets a sign-up and wonders what the heck to do next. Would it be to show your new business partner what you’re doing to get success and get them to “duplicate what you do”.

Is this method going to WORK in the long term? Unlikely.

Why unlikely? Because these tactics drive people AWAY from you and it’s possible you have another desperate person aimlessly looking for a solution to their problem without having a clear purpose for what they want to achieve.

This aimless action can lead to very negative outcomes in your life. Things like:

Increased Stress levels and anxiety
Panic in your situation of need for money and hence more frustration and “chasing”
Overall Ill health and poor quality of life

“I didn’t go into this to feel this way!”

I speak from experience. I was a desperate person looking for a desperate solution, which meant I would go from program to program hoping for that “magic pill” without thinking about what I wanted. I knew I had to change the way I was doing things. Instead of running around like a headless chicken, I started to look at things with PURPOSE.

I looked around for something to INSPIRE me. I learned ways to actually attract people TO me instead of playing the desperation game. You can do this too – find out how.

Change From Desperation To Inspiration

Is your career going in the direction you want it to?

Do you LOVE what you do?

If the answer is yes, then you are more likely to get some inspiration from what you do and be able to take INSPIRED action. If not, you need to look at things in a different way. You may be in a situation where you have to work to live and “tolerate” what you do in order to pay your way in life. This is NOT how you wanted to live your life is it?

Thing is, we have all been “programmed” to believe we have to do a job, work for someone else so we can take our hard earned wages home to take care of the family. Very often the money runs out before the end of the month and you have to get another job to “fill in the gaps”. This is NOT inspiring.

Look for something you already LOVE to do and see if there is a way to turn that passion into a business. When you have this “vision” you are more likely to take INSPIRED action rather than the DESPERATE action you have been taking.

Inspired action is more likely to get you to your goals, but it has to be done the RIGHT way.

Inspiration can lead to:

New meaning in life
Positive, purposeful action
More self esteem and “lifted spirits”
Better results – driven by inspired action

How To Move From Desperation To Inspiration

Find leaders who already have the expertise you are looking for to market your business, follow then and see if you can find someone who really resonates with you. You may need help in getting your new business online and learn how to use social media and other platforms to market your business successfully.

One thing is sure. You need to avoid the action of the desperate by learning how to “attract” by properly building relationships with the people who are interested in your product or service and having conversations with them so you can build rapport and help them to solve their problems too. If you’re a network marketer you could offer your company’s products to help solve something your prospect is looking for. In some circumstances you can offer to show your business to someone as a means to help them through their own financial situation as long as they show some interest.

Attraction marketing is the best way to market any business WITHOUT being desperate. You learn how to help solve people’s problems by offering solutions. You don’t put the solution out there in the forlorn “hope” of someone wanting it and then leaving them to it. Your business needs YOU to be there to build it in the right way.

Show the personal touch and be attractive to people. GIVE of your time to help people and offer them opportunities to join you if it is going to SERVE both them AND you. Persuade someone to join you in something they have no PASSION for is not the way to do this. Your business is your SERVICE.

If it’s better to serve your prospect by showing them a different path and joining someone else in a different business or offering them a different product because it’s the right thing for THEM, then DO IT!

Do you think this person is going to recommend YOU to others or even come back to you for a product you have created that is just perfect for them because they keep following you? Of course they will. People reciprocate, but they do this more with people who show they CARE about them.

Your business needs to be profitable, but it’s not ALL about money. Give to receive and you will see just how magic things can be. Keep doing the desperate things and being selfish will see you continually struggle.

Define your own desperation and turn it into inspiration to see the change in your own situation.
